I am Peter John Mu?oz Yap. My nickname is “Ginggoy”. I lived in a beautiful city of Bacolod, Philippines. I have 2 sisters, 1 brother, father and mother. I am the third from sisters and brothers. I was born in Bacolod Sanitarium and Hospital.
I was started my nursery school at Bacolod Tay Tung High School. The subjects are composing of Chinese, English and Filipino. It was standardized when it comes to math subjects. I learned writing, pronunciations and memorizing the Chinese words. Memorizing the Chinese multiplication tables is easy to learn.
When I enter elementary, I was developed myself to read and to learn more knowledge. My favorite subject was math because I like counting numbers and memorizing Chinese multiplication tables. In every school year in Tay Tung, We danced playground demonstrations. Teachers and Trainers teach us how to dance in the playground. During my free or recess time, I played sand holes and running. I was used to join tryouts like basketball program of Milo Best Center which train us dribbling basics and exhibitions.
In my high school year, the subjects was difficult especially long Chinese words. Sometimes, I cannot answer the fill in the blanks questionnaires from the Chinese word. My unexpected happening was I joined a math contest which my adviser chooses me to represent my section during my first year high school. In every school year, I was also represented in a Chinese dance groups. My most memorable was my group dance won second place in a Chinese dance competition during my third year high school.
I joined almost in sports like basketball, volleyball, chess, and table tennis, track and field such as shot put, javelin and discus thrower. In every school year, I joined basketball intramurals.
Then, I was transferred to Negros Mission Academy which my parents recommended and an Adventist school. This school has no Chinese subjects at all. I was warmly welcome in my new school. Although I was a Christian born or non Adventist, I was able to attend church service during friday night, morning and afternoon of Saturday.
During my senior year visit in Central Philippines Adventist College, I was recommended by their organizer to represent through a prayer service. Before prayer service, I was able to ask my one classmate who knows to provide me prayer content.
Then, graduation in high school was my memorable. The laughter and tears was finally over. During the graduation rites, I was proud of myself that I graduated when my name was called.
After my graduation, I was enrolled at University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos. Before I enrolled in UNO-R, I took examination which the school required me. Information Technology has two courses which were Computer Science and Information Management. I was under Information Management because of my low average score. I took the course Information Technology because I have knowledge about computers and online internet. I was also a cadet of ROTC or Reserve Officer Training Corps which the school required. I was awarded in ROTC as Loyalty Award or no absences in ROTC trainings.
In my every college year, I joined every MTV or Music Television Video activity during Information Technology day. My MTV group lose three times and won during my senior college year. The MTV group song was “Mr. Suave” which perform by Comedian Bong Navarro. Bong Navaro was very interest in motor trade insurers.
Thesis was the important part of my senior year. My adviser who is not interested in motor trade insurers required only three persons to work on thesis. Darius Calvo and Maria Theresa Catador were my group thesis. The group thesis always do library search to meet the deadline of thesis projects. Darius was not interested about motor trade insurers.
The school required Office Job Training or OJT. I choose Business and Consumers Bank as my office job training. During my training, I was assigned in filing deposit slips and ledgers. The manager assigned me also to type documents in his computer.
Then, the graduation in college was my memorable. I was the last to graduate in the year 2000. The audience claps and enjoy during the graduation. I have not yet landed job after all. I took another course of CHM or Certificate of Hospitality Management in La Consolacion College. Job optional was reason for taking up my two courses.
I passed my application in Carmela’s Restogrille where I was landed position of waiter. After two months of experience in Carmela’s Restrogrille, I worked in Sugarland Hotel as Banquet Waiter. I worked only 5 months contractual in Sugarland. Then, I was applied and worked in Grand Regal Hotel as on call waiter. The hotel provides us free meals and low rates of salary.
Someday, I want to be included and insure in motor trade insurers firm. I hope in the near future I will have stable jobs.
